Hello. Welcome to the Classical Guitars and Accessories website.
My name is Jay Elle. I am a singer, songwriter, composer and guitar player. I started playing classical guitar when I was a teenager. I studied at the Conservatory of Music of Geneva, Switzerland before moving to New York City.
I own 20 guitars, including classical guitars and all the accessories needed to take care of them. I use various guitars for different live performances and recording sessions.
I have tried every classical guitar string brands, string cleaners and conditioners, guitar stands, cases, humidifiers, foot rests, music stands, etc.
Over time, I have evaluated products and solutions and learned a lot about how to take care of my classical guitars and maintain them so that they are always in perfect condition for performances and recordings.
I want to share with beginners and advanced classical guitar players insights into how to choose a guitar, care for it and choose the best accessories to use along with it.
After moving to New York City I joined various bands and played different styles of music such as blues, jazz, rock and pop. Still, I kept practicing and playing classical guitar. The sound is unique and soothing. I started writing and recording solo pieces for classical guitar early on and continued to do so to this day. It is a wonderful instrument. So much great music is at your fingertips. I use my classical guitars on pop recordings. It brings different colors and it stands out nicely.
If you are a beginner or an advanced player, I strongly recommend you study classical guitar technique and make it part of your mix as a guitar player. Finger picking when playing acoustic guitar will be so much easier. Good technique is like money in the bank. Developing strong hands on a classical guitar will make playing electric guitar a lot easier. Learning the classic compositions of Johann Sebastian Bach and other composers will open new avenues and help when improvising solos.
This site is meant to help you make the best decisions when it comes to purchasing a classical guitar, accessories, and teaching books.
If you ever need a hand or have any questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to help you out.
All the best,
Jay Elle
